1950-1952 – 1950s Malaysian Communist guerillas the MCP were led by Ching Peng. In Oct 1951 the MCP assassinated Sir Henry Gurney the British high commissioner Royal Australian air force. 16 Sept 1963 – The federation of Malaysia came into existence, following the UN confirmation of the fact that it accorded with the wishes of the majority of the people of Sarawak and north Borneo. Sukarno of Indonesia refused to recognize Malaysia and stepped up efforts to destroy it.

11 August 1968 – Noordin Mohammad Top was born in Johar Malaysia. He attended the Sekolah Islam Luqmanul Hakiem a madrassa in rural Johor state.

4 Dec 1977 – Malaysian airliners Hijacking crash. 93 people were killed.

1985 – Indonesian Islamists relocated to Malaysia in 1985 to establish daulah islamiyya (an Islamic state) by means of Jihad. (Inside al Qaeda. ©2002 R Gunatrna).

1991 – Noordin Muhammad Top received a bachelors degree from the university teknologi Malaysia UTM around 1991. But his whereabouts in the following years are not well known. He became increasingly involved as JI developed its network in the 1990s. He married RahmahRusdi, a sister of another JI member.

Jan 2000 – Malaysia meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Khalid al Midhar, a Yemeni citizen, the son in law of Ahmed al-Hada, also a Yemeni. Nawaf Alhazmi a Saudi attended the Malaysian meeting, later hijacking an American airlines flight 77 on 9/11.

Sept Oct 2000 – Yuzid Sufaat provided Moussaoui with about $35,000 in meetings in Malaysia.

9 Sept 2001 – US educated Malaysian businessman Yazid Suffat part funded the 9/11 attacks he was al-Qaeda’s regional financial officer.

11 Sept 2001 – Parti Islam se Malaysia PAS linked to al-Qaeda.

Jan 2002 – US troops were sent to the Philippines in Jan 2002 to seek out Abu Sayyef as it dispersed into Malaysia and Indonesia into smaller cells.

Nov 2002 – Malaysian PM Mohamed Mahathir told a banking conference in Kuala Lumpur in Nov 2002 a universal Islamic banking system is a Jihad worth pursuing to abolish this slavery to the West. The conference was convened following 9/11 to absorb the 9/11 shock and reinforce the stability of Islamic finance, reps of nine Islamic countries set up an Islamic financial services board IFSB, to act as a global authority for Islamic banking and finance and to compete with US and other banking agencies. Since 2002 the Islamic efforts to impose Sharia governed banking on the West has only increased.

2003 – Lillie aka Mohammed Nazir bin Lep. Malaysian born key aide to Hambali involved in the Jakarta Marriott hotel blast in 2003 and stated to be a suicide bomber for a second wave of attacks targeting LA.
